JP Manufacturers Pty Ltd, trading as Sydcily, is an Australian food manufacturer, importer and wholesaler specialising in premium Italian and Sicilian food products. Based in Moorebank, NSW, we supply high-quality Italian products to cafés, bakeries, restaurants, distributors, foodservice businesses and catering companies throughout Australia.
We are seeking an experienced Bakers to join our production team on a full-time basis.
About the Role
This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing Australian food manufacturing business. The successful applicant will be responsible for producing a variety of bakery products while maintaining the highest standards of quality, consistency, food safety and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, mix, knead, shape and bake a variety of bread, sweet bakery products, pastry products and other baked goods.
- Weigh and prepare ingredients according to company recipes and production specifications.
- Operate commercial bakery equipment safely and efficiently.
- Monitor proofing, baking and cooling processes to ensure product consistency and quality.
- Inspect raw materials and finished products to ensure compliance with company quality standards.
- Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene and cleanliness in accordance with company procedures.
- Follow Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) policies and procedures.
- Assist with stock rotation and ingredient control.
- Work collaboratively with the production team to achieve daily production targets.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the production environment.
Skills & Experience
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A relevant baking qualification or equivalent industry experience.
- At least 12 months' experience in a commercial bakery or food manufacturing environment.
- Experience operating commercial bakery equipment.
- Sound knowledge of bakery production methods.
- Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene requirements.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Employment Details
- Full-time position.
- 38 hours per week.
- Salary: AUD $79,500 – $86,500 per annum plus 12% Superannuation (depending on skills and experience).
- Location: Moorebank, NSW.
