As a Piling Operator, you’ll play a key role in the construction of utility-scale solar farms by safely operating piling equipment used to install solar foundations. You’ll work closely with supervisors, surveyors and ground crews to deliver high-quality outcomes while maintaining a strong focus on safety and productivity.
- Operating piling rigs and associated machinery.
- Installing driven piles in accordance with project specifications.
- Conducting pre-start inspections and basic maintenance of plant and equipment.
- Reading and interpreting pile layouts and site plans.
- Working closely with survey, QA and construction teams.
- Monitoring pile quality, depth and alignment.
- Completing daily plant and production records.
- Following Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS) and company procedures.
- Maintaining a clean, safe and organised worksite.
- Working collaboratively with your team to achieve daily production targets.
We’re looking for people who:
- Have previous experience operating piling rigs or similar heavy construction plant.
- Have a strong commitment to safety and safe work practices.
- Are reliable, punctual and take pride in their work.
- Enjoy working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Can work effectively within a team and communicate respectfully with others.
- Are able to work in remote locations and travel for projects when required.
- Hold a Construction White Card (essential).
- Hold a current Australian Driver Licence (essential).
- Hold relevant plant operating tickets and/or VOCs (essential).
- Previous experience within renewable energy, civil or infrastructure projects is advantageous.
