Oak Disability is currently seeking dedicated Disability Domestic Assistants to support NDIS participants within their homes across Brisbane and surrounding suburbs.
About the Role
As a Disability Domestic Assistant, you will support NDIS participants by assisting them to maintain a clean, comfortable, and organised home environment that promotes wellbeing, independence, and quality of life.
This is a domestic assistance and housekeeping role focused on supporting participants with day-to-day household tasks within their homes.
- General household cleaning including vacuuming, mopping, dusting, tidying, and surface sanitisation
- Cleaning kitchens, bathrooms, toilets, and other household areas
- Laundry duties including washing, folding, ironing, and changing bed linen
- Meal preparation and basic cooking assistance
- Household organisation and decluttering
- Emptying bins and waste disposal
- Assisting participants with online grocery or household shopping
- Participating in spring cleans or larger decluttering projects when required
Please note:
This is not a Support Worker role. The position does not involve personal care, medication administration, hygiene assistance, or community access supports.
About You

- Strong communicators with prompt response times to calls, texts, and emails
- Emotionally resilient and able to approach challenging environments professionally and without judgement
- Able to maintain a high standard of cleaning and organisation
Requirements
- Valid Driver’s Licence
- Reliable and registered vehicle
- Smartphone for rostering and communication
- Valid NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)
- Full working rights in Australia
- Previous cleaning, domestic assistance, aged care, disability support, or community care experience is highly regarded but not essential

Job Details
- Casual Position
- Pay Rate: $34.10 or $36.08 per hour depending on experience
- Expected Hours: 4–36 hours per week with opportunity to build your roster over time
