About the role
The Workshop Trade Assistant role will be a full range of workshop duties from unloading shipment containers to basic preparation of new forklifts. This role also involves the following, but is not limited to:
Basic prep of new and used forklifts
Forklift operations
Assist workshop where needed
Wash down and detail machines
Pick up and deliveries
Packing and shipping of orders
Loading and unloading trucks
Unpacking overseas freight
Any other duties that may be reasonably required from time to time.
What you’ll need to succeed
A genuine interest in mechanical equipment
Ability to undertake manual physical work
Punctual, reliable, and energetic
Forklift industry preferred
Minimum 12 month as a T/A essential
Manual driver’s license
Forklift License
HR drivers license preferred but not essential
