About the Role
We are looking for a Commercial Analyst – Sales & Operations to join our Finance team at our Norwest Head Office.
In this hands-on commercial role, you’ll partner closely with our Sales, Farming and Finance teams to provide meaningful analysis and insights that support business performance and decision-making. You’ll analyse sales, customer and product profitability, egg production and farm performance to identify opportunities, manage risks and support continued growth.
What You’ll Do
- Partner with Sales and Farming teams to track weekly business performance and provide clear, actionable insights
- Analyse sales performance across customers, channels, products, price, volume and mix to identify opportunities and risks
- Support pricing, promotional, tender and customer investment decisions through commercial analysis and financial modelling
- Monitor customer and product profitability to identify opportunities to improve revenue, margin and trading performance
- Analyse farm performance, including eggs produced, feed consumption and mortality, to identify opportunities and risks
- Manage month-end activities across relevant sales and operations areas, including budget and forecast reviews, variance analysis and commentary
- Support the preparation of capital expenditure submissions and commercial business cases, including financial modelling and benefits tracking
- Support the annual budgeting and monthly forecasting process in partnership with Sales, Farming and Finance stakeholders
- Collaborate with the wider Finance team to improve reporting, processes, controls and business partnering capability
- Undertake ad-hoc analysis and project-related work as required

What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Commerce, Economics or a related discipline
- CA or CPA qualified, or currently working towards qualification
- 3–5 years’ experience in a commercial or analytical role within FMCG, agriculture, manufacturing, retail or a similar environment
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex sales, financial and operational data
- Commercial understanding of revenue, margin, pricing, volume, mix, cost drivers and customer profitability
- Experience supporting commercial decision-making through analysis and financial modelling
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience working with financial, reporting or business intelligence systems
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- High attention to detail and a proactive approach to identifying opportunities and risks
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to partner effectively with Sales, Operations and Finance teams
