About the Role
We are seeking a passionate Ranger Coordinator to lead the Yarluwar-Ruwe Working on Country Program. This full-time, fixed-term role provides a unique opportunity to lead and support a dedicated team of Rangers caring for Ngarrindjeri Ruwe (Country). Combining Ngarrindjeri cultural knowledge with contemporary land and sea management practices, you will coordinate on-ground environmental and cultural heritage activities that deliver meaningful outcomes for community, culture, and Country. About You
You are a motivated leader with a passion for caring for Country, protecting cultural heritage, and supporting community outcomes. You have experience leading teams in environmental management, conservation, natural resource management, or a related field. You are an effective communicator who can build strong relationships, support Rangers, and help deliver positive outcomes for Ngarrindjeri Ruwe (Country) and community.
About the Organisation
Ngarrindjeri Aboriginal Corporation (NAC) is a community-led Aboriginal organisation that works to strengthen the social, cultural, environmental, and economic wellbeing of the Ngarrindjeri people. Guided by Ngarrindjeri culture and connection to Ruwe (Country), NAC delivers programs that support community development, cultural heritage, environmental management, education, training, and employment while creating opportunities for current and future generations.
Key Responsibilities
The successful applicant will be responsible for:
· Lead, mentor and coordinate the Ranger Team to deliver on-Country environmental, cultural heritage and community projects.
· Plan, oversee and report on Ranger Program activities, work plans, budgets and funding requirements.
· Build and maintain strong partnerships with community, Elders, government agencies, land management organisations and key stakeholders.
· Support the protection and management of Ngarrindjeri Ruwe (Country) through land and water management, cultural heritage protection and sustainable environmental practices

· Strong leadership, mentoring and team coordination skills, with the ability to support and develop staff in a positive and inclusive environment.
· Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage effectively with community members, Elders, stakeholders and partner organisations.
· Well-developed planning, problem-solving and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver successful outcomes.
Knowledge, Qualifications & Experience
· Relevant experience in environmental management, natural resource management, conservation, community development, or working with Aboriginal communities.
· Knowledge of Ngarrindjeri land and sea management practices, cultural heritage protection, stakeholder engagement, and project delivery.
· Current Driver's Licence and the ability to successfully obtain and maintain a National Police Check, Working with Children Check and Fitness for Work Check.
