The Central Coast Local Health District (CCLHD) is seeking enthusiastic, passionate, and compassionate Enrolled Nurses to join the Acute Geriatrics Team at Wyong Hospital in a permanent part-time position.
About The Role
As an Enrolled Nurse within the Acute Geriatrics Unit at Wyong Hospital, you will work under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse to deliver safe, evidence-based, person-centred care to older adults experiencing acute illness, functional decline, frailty, dementia, delirium, and complex chronic health conditions.
You will contribute to comprehensive nursing care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care, while supporting patients to maintain their independence, dignity, and quality of life throughout their hospital stay. Working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, you will assist in promoting early intervention, rehabilitation, discharge planning, and strategies that optimise patient outcomes and reduce the risk of hospital-associated complications. You will support a safe, respectful, and culturally responsive environment that promotes patient dignity and person-centred care, you wil provide compassionate support with activities of daily living while promoting patient independence and mobility, recognise and respond appropriately to patients experiencing delirium, dementia, falls risk, frailty, and other geriatric syndromes.
