About the position:
To contribute to the production and operations at the Roma Quarry through plant operation and labourer support with a particular focus on crushing and screening operations.

Key responsibilities
Quarry Operations
- Contribute to the preparation of raw Quarry materials and load into the crushing and screening plant.
- Undertake crushing and screening operations to produce required materials, in accordance with customer demand.
- Unload produced materials and contribute to the preparation for dispatch.
- Contribute to the production and site operations through the use of a variety of plant, including Front End Loader, Water Truck, Mobile Crusher, Mobile Screen, Telehandler, Excavator.
Plant Operation
- Safely operate and maintain Council’s plant and equipment as per the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) specifications and Council’s policies and procedures.
- Undertake daily servicing and maintenance for plant, equipment and machinery to ensure optimal capacity and efficiency levels and to avoid unscheduled operational downtime.
- Maintain plant records as per Council’s Integrated Maranoa Management System (IMMS) and plant management policies and procedures
- Provide skilled plant operation to assist with maintenance requirements such as repairs, renewals and upgrades.
- Operate a variety of handheld tools and machinery as required.
Labour Support
- Undertake general labour duties and participate in multi-skilled team tasks, as required.
- Perform work site preparation and clean up.
