About the Role
Cootamundra Fuels Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced and motivated Retail Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our fuel retail and convenience store business in Cootamundra, NSW.
As Retail Manager, you will be responsible for managing store operations, supervising staff, maintaining stock levels and service standards, monitoring store performance, and ensuring a high standard of customer service. You will also ensure the business operates efficiently and in accordance with relevant safety and workplace requirements.
This is a full-time, permanent position based in Cootamundra NSW 2590.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day retail operations to ensure smooth and efficient store management.
- Determine appropriate product ranges, stock levels and service standards to meet customer and business needs.
- Monitor inventory, coordinate stock ordering and maintain appropriate product availability.
- Plan and organise product displays, promotions and other sales activities.
- Monitor sales performance, operating costs and general store performance.
- Maintain accurate records of financial transactions and assist with budgeting and cost control.
- Drive sales by promoting store products and providing excellent customer service and product advice.
- Oversee budgeting and monitor store performance
- Lead, train, and supervise staff to maintain high standards of service and safety
- Ensure the store operates safely and complies with all workplace health and safety (WHS) regulations
Skills & Experience
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Business, Retail Management or a related field.
- Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in retail management or a similar role.
- Experience supervising and supporting staff in day-to-day store operations.
- Good knowledge of stock control, inventory management and retail operations.
- Experience using POS systems and other general retail software preferred.
- Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills.
- Good customer service and problem-solving abilities.
- Commitment to workplace safety and high service standards.
