Maitland Hospital is offering a rotational SRMO training opportunity for motivated doctors looking to consolidate their clinical skills while exploring career pathways across a range of specialties.

This role is ideal for trainees seeking a well-rounded experience, including exposure to surgical terms, to support future training applications and career development.

What you’ll be doing

Provide high-quality, patient-centred care across a range of clinical rotations
Participate in day-to-day management of patients within multidisciplinary teams
Gain experience in acute and elective care, including surgical and medical specialties
Develop clinical decision-making and procedural skills
Contribute to teaching, audit, and quality improvement activities
Work under supervision with regular feedback from experienced clinicians

Training opportunities

Rotations across key specialties (e.g. surgery, emergency medicine, medicine, and other core areas)
Exposure to theatre, inpatient and outpatient care depending on term allocation
Opportunities to develop a broad clinical skillset relevant to multiple career pathways
Access to supportive supervisors and potential referees
Participation in education programs, audit, and portfolio development
