We are a growing NDIS provider delivering high-quality disability supports with a strong focus on participant safety, dignity, independence, and person-centred care. As we expand our Supported Independent Living (SIL) and Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) services, we are seeking an experienced and passionate Registered Nurse to join our team.

Position Overview
The Registered Nurse will provide clinical oversight, health support, and nursing services to NDIS participants with complex support needs within community, SIL, and SDA environments. The RN will work collaboratively with participants, families, support workers, allied health professionals, and management to ensure safe, compliant, and high-quality care delivery in line with NDIS Practice Standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct nursing assessments and develop participant health management plans
- Provide clinical guidance and oversight to disability support staff
- Administer and monitor medications where required
- Support participants with complex health needs, including high-intensity supports
- Monitor participant health outcomes and escalate concerns appropriately
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and incident reporting
- Assist with implementation of restrictive practice and behaviour support requirements where applicable
- Ensure compliance with NDIS Practice Standards, policies, and infection control procedures
- Participate in care planning, risk assessments, and quality improvement activities
- Liaise with external stakeholders including families, hospitals, GPs, allied health professionals, and support coordinators
- Provide education and mentoring to support workers as required
Essential Requirements
- Current unrestricted AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
- Minimum 2 years’ nursing experience preferred
- Experience within disability, community, mental health, aged care, or complex care settings highly regarded
- Current National Police Check
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Working With Children Check (WWCC)
- Current First Aid & CPR Certification
- Valid Driver Licence and reliable insured vehicle
- Strong understanding of NDIS Practice Standards and participant safeguarding
- Excellent communication, documentation, and clinical assessment skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary environment
Desirable
- Experience with SIL and SDA environments
- Experience supporting participants requiring high-intensity daily personal activities
- Knowledge of medication management, restrictive practices, and behaviour support frameworks
- Experience in clinical governance and staff training

Job Type: Subcontract
Pay: $80.00 – $95.00 per hour
