Female Disability Support Worker (Casual) – Ballarat VIC
TessAbility Support Services is a small, person-centred disability support provider based in Ballarat. We are seeking an experienced and reliable Disability Support Worker to join our growing team.
This role involves supporting NDIS participants in their homes and within the community to achieve their goals, maintain independence, and improve quality of life.
About the Role
- Casual position
- Weekday, evening and occasional weekend work available (shift times generally 0900 - 1200/1300, 1500/1600 - 1800 (Potential for more hours and shifts If suited)
- Ballarat and surrounding areas
- SCHADS Award rates plus superannuation and penalties
Duties May Include
- Community access and social support
- Transport to appointments and activities
- Meal preparation and assistance with daily living tasks
- Shopping and community participation
- Medication prompting
- Capacity building and skill development
- Supporting participant independence and wellbeing
- Maintaining accurate progress notes and documentation
Essential Requirements
- Previous disability support experience
- Any relevant disability, aged care or allied health care certificate
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Current Working With Children Check
- Current First Aid and CPR Certificate
- Full Victorian Driver’s Licence
- Reliable vehicle with comprehensive insurance
- Smartphone and basic technology skills
- Excellent communication and professional boundaries
Highly Regarded
- Experience supporting people with dementia
- Experience supporting participants with intellectual disabilities, autism or psychosocial disabilities
- Certificate III or IV in Individual Support, Disability, Community Services or similar qualification
