We are seeking an experienced, passionate, and motivated Centre Manager to lead our team and oversee the daily operations of our childcare service at Small friends childcare & Education.
About the Role
As the Centre Manager, you will be responsible for the overall management of the centre, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements while maintaining a positive, safe, and engaging environment for children, families, and staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the childcare centre
- Lead, mentor, and support a team of educators and staff
- Ensure compliance with the National Quality Framework (NQF), National Quality Standards (NQS), and relevant regulations
- Build and maintain strong relationships with children, families, and the local community
- Manage centre occupancy, enrolments, and family engagement
- Monitor budgets, staffing, and operational performance
- Drive continuous improvement and quality outcomes across the service
- Foster a positive workplace culture focused on collaboration and professional growth
- Ensure the health, safety, and wellbeing of all children and staff
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Previous experience in a Centre Manager, Director, or Leadership role within Early Childhood Education and Care
- Strong knowledge of the National Quality Framework and relevant childcare regulations
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
- A passion for delivering high-quality early childhood education
- Diploma or Bachelor qualification in Early Childhood Education (or equivalent approved qualification)
- Current Working With Children Check
- Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma, and Anaphylaxis certifications
- Strong administration and people management skills
