The Opportunity
Be the welcoming face of the City of Perth Library! As a Customer Service Officer, you'll assist visitors with enquiries, payments and access to library services, technology, collections and programs, delivering exceptional customer service to a diverse community every day.
Reporting to the Team Leader Library Operations, your responsibilities would primarily include:
- Deliver exceptional customer service by assisting patrons with library and City of Perth enquiries;
- Process memberships, payments and bookings, providing efficient support to visitors and clients;
- Support the day-to-day operations of the Library, ensuring services run smoothly and effectively; and
- Help create a safe, welcoming and inclusive environment for all library patrons and visitors.
About You
To succeed in this role, you will possess:
- Good communication skills with experience providing customer service via multiple channels;
- High level of computer literacy skills;
- Experience in taking payments and cash handling; and
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team

Eligibility
To be eligible to work for us, you will need to demonstrate:

- Fitness for work via a pre-employment medical;
- Must be available to work a rotating roster covering day and afternoon shifts, including weekends; and
- A satisfactory National Police Clearance (dated within 3 months).
