Achieve Something Great
The Elver Program is a NSW state-wide, multidisciplinary trauma treatment service supporting children and young people living in Out of Home Care, who often face significant barriers to accessing services and experience poorer outcomes across multiple domains. Funded by the Department of Communities and Justice (DCJ) in partnership with Health, the program delivers an innovative mental health Model of Care that creates unique opportunities for Speech Pathologists to advocate for CYP with communication needs across complex systems.
This position is based within the DCJ Intensive Services office in Parramatta and forms part of a collaborative partnership between South Western Sydney Local Health District and DCJ. The role sits within a dynamic, specialist mental health team and includes opportunities to work across NSW, with some travel outside the Sydney metropolitan area required.
Are You the Right Fit?
In this role, you will provide advanced occupational therapy assessment and intervention, alongside case management, to improve functional outcomes and participation in daily life. A key focus is supporting both the child or young person and the systems around them, ensuring sustainable and meaningful change. The role also includes a strong health promotion and capacity-building component, including the delivery of training, seminars, and education to professionals working across mental health and OOHC settings. You will contribute to service development, quality improvement, and shared learning within a highly skilled and supportive team environment.
