Kirrawee High School, located in Sydney's south, has a strong tradition of excellence in academics, arts, sports, leadership, vocational education, and supporting students with additional needs. With over 50 years of history, the school offers a broad curriculum and co-curricular activities, emphasizing music, sports, student leadership, social justice, languages, and public speaking/debating. The school has 1220 enrolments, 90 teaching staff and 24 non-teaching. Students come from 33 nationalities, with 10% speaking a language other than English at home and 2.6% of students identifying as Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander. Proven ability to initiate a collaborative culture of evidence-informed practice through building the capacity of staff to analyse internal and external data, differentiate teaching and strengthen curriculum implementation
Demonstrated capacity to establish and sustain an evaluative culture that promotes continuous improvement and aligns with the strategic priorities of the school
Ability to lead innovative assessment and feedback practices based on an understanding of contemporary assessment design that supports student growth, teacher collaboration and evidence-informed curriculum improvement
Highly developed leadership, interpersonal and organisational skills with the capacity to build positive relationships with students, staff, parents and the wider school community, lead instructional improvement and support the ongoing development of a high-performing English faculty.
