We have an exciting opportunity for a driven and commercially savvy Account Manager to join our high-performing team, managing a territory across Mount Isa and surrounding regions.
This role is focused on growing sales, improving margin performance, and delivering exceptional customer outcomes across both existing and new accounts. You will be working across multiple industries, managing strategic accounts within Hard Rock Mining, Utilities, and Government sectors.
This is a permanent, full-time position, with approximately 80% of your time spent in the field, building strong face-to-face customer relationships. You will work closely with customers to identify opportunities, scope solutions, and drive growth, while also partnering closely with the Mount Isa Operations Team to ensure exceptional service delivery and customer outcomes.
Key Responsibilities

Manage and grow strategic accounts across Hard Rock Mining, Utilities, and Government sectors

Conduct regular face-to-face site visits to build strong relationships with key stakeholders and identify growth opportunities

Scope customer needs onsite and deliver value-led solutions to drive sales and margin growth

Maintain accurate and up-to-date CRM records, ensuring all customer interactions, opportunities, and pipeline activity are consistently captured and managed

Actively manage and progress sales opportunities through the CRM system to maximise conversion and visibility
-
Develop and execute a structured territory call plan to maximise customer coverage and efficiency
-
Manage your time effectively, structuring your days to optimise productivity and customer engagement
-
Drive territory growth through strategic planning and data-led decision making
-
Achieve sales and margin targets through product mix optimisation and pricing discipline
-
Identify and convert new business opportunities within your territory
-
Work closely with the Mount Isa Operations Team to ensure customer requirements are communicated, executed, and supported effectively

Build strong internal relationships and collaborate with Operations, Customer Care, Supply Chain, Category, and Specialist teams to deliver seamless service and exceptional customer outcomes
About You

Proven experience in account management or business development
-
Experience managing strategic or key accounts across industrial and mining sectors
-
Strong knowledge of the Mount Isa region and surrounding industries
-
Highly effective at building relationships face-to-face in customer environments
-
Strong time management and territory planning skills
-
Commercially astute, with a solid understanding of pricing, margin, and growth levers
-
Demonstrated ability to identify opportunities, influence decision-makers, and drive business growth
-
Self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously in a field-based role
-
Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM systems, with a commitment to maintaining accurate customer and opportunity data
-
Willing and able to travel regularly, including overnight stays
