Your new role:
This is an exciting opportunity for an Occupational Therapy student to gain practical experience within a busy acute healthcare setting while being supported by experienced allied health professionals. Working as part of the Occupational Therapy Acute Team, you will contribute to high-quality patient care and continue developing your clinical skills through on-the-job learning and professional supervision.
Key responsibilities include:
Supporting the delivery of safe, patient-centred care
Assisting with clinical assessments and treatment activities under supervision
Providing education and support to patients and families
Maintaining accurate clinical documentation and administrative records
Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to support patient outcomes
Participating in quality improvement, training and professional development activities
About you:
You are a motivated Occupational Therapy student who is passionate about improving patient outcomes and developing your clinical skills within a supportive healthcare environment. You will demonstrate:
Current enrolment in a recognised Australian Occupational Therapy degree program
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
Compassionate and respectful approach to patient care
Commitment to learning, professional development and continuous improvement
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

Logan Hospital is the major health centre for one of the fastest growing areas in Queensland. We offer a range of services, including medical, rehabilitation, maternity, surgical and paediatric care.
We offer our staff and students extensive support and training in most medical specialties. As a teaching hospital, we help train future health care professionals and participate in research through strong partnerships with Queensland's leading medical schools, universities, and TAFE Queensland.
