About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following:
Knowledge of recovery principles and strength-based approach in working with consumers who have mental health issues.
Ability to share lived experience of recovery to assist consumers and staff within the role.
Thoughtful and ethical decision making to act within operational scope, and professional boundaries.
Ability to work within timeframes and deliver on work commitments.
An ability to advocate for the consumer perspective to identify service improvement.
People who hold or are working towards a Certificate IV in Mental Health Peer Work or equivalent are encouraged to apply.
People with a personal lived-living experience who are from diverse cultural backgrounds are encouraged to apply. This includes Aboriginal, Torres Strait Islander and people who identify as LGBTIQ+.
Mandatory Requirements
Vaccinated against, and remain vaccinated against, certain vaccine preventable diseases (VPD) as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO. 01/16
