As our business continues to grow and diversify, we are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accountant to join our finance team.
About the Role
Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for supporting the company's day-to-day accounting operations while providing accurate financial reporting and analysis to support business performance and informed decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly financial and management reports to support business operations and management decision-making.
- Maintain the general ledger, perform month-end journals, account reconciliations and financial reporting activities.
- Manage accounting activities across the company's wholesale, online retail, trade account and showroom sales operations.
- Monitor inventory accounting, stock valuation and product cost movements across the company's diverse product range.
- Analyse sales performance, gross margins and product profitability to support management decision-making.
- Monitor accounts receivable, trade customer accounts and supplier reconciliations, ensuring accurate financial records.
- Assist with budgeting, cash flow reporting and financial analysis.
- Prepare financial information and supporting documentation for the Financial Controller and external accountants for BAS, taxation and statutory compliance requirements.
- Assist in maintaining and improving accounting systems, internal controls and financial processes.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- At least a Bachelor's degree or higher qualification in Accounting.
- At least one year of relevant accounting experience.
- Sound knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Experience using accounting software and Microsoft Office.
- Strong analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Pay: $80,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year
