About the Role
As the Asset Health Engineer, you will be responsible for governing and improving asset health systems and processes across site while monitoring compliance with Greatland's Asset Management Policy and Standards. You will leverage asset performance data to identify improvement opportunities, reduce downtime and enhance the reliability of critical plant equipment.
Please note: This role is on 8/6 Roster FIFO from Perth
Key Responsibilities
Manage and maintain the Plant Performance Measuring System (PPMS) to support operational and maintenance decision-making.
Establish and sustain processes that ensure data integrity, system effectiveness and ongoing performance monitoring.
Drive Root Cause Analysis (RCA) processes through analysis of PPMS data, maintenance records, recurring failures and equipment performance trends.
Initiate and coordinate RCA investigations, ensuring actions are implemented, tracked and completed effectively.
Develop reporting dashboards to monitor defect elimination initiatives and measure effectiveness.
Analyse asset performance data to identify reliability risks, recurring defects and opportunities for continuous improvement.
Develop Asset Management Plans for critical plant assets to maximise reliability and lifecycle performance.
Deliver regular Asset Health and Asset Risk reporting to site stakeholders.
Prepare plant performance reports with clear recommendations and actionable improvement opportunities.
Review and optimise maintenance tactics and reliability strategies for existing and new plant equipment.
Actively contribute to site-wide continuous improvement and best-practice asset management initiatives.
About You
You are a proactive engineer with strong analytical capability and a passion for improving asset performance. You enjoy collaborating with operational and maintenance teams to solve complex reliability challenges and deliver measurable business outcomes.
Essential Requirements
Degree in Mechanical Engineering accredited and recognised by Engineers Australia.
Demonstrated experience in mechanical maintenance and reliability engineering within a process plant environment.
Strong understanding of asset management, reliability principles and defect elimination methodologies.
Working knowledge of relevant Australian Standards and legislation.
Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and identify trends.
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Desirable Qualifications & Experience
Previous experience in mineral processing, reliability engineering or asset management within the mining industry.
Experience with Plant Performance Monitoring Systems, CMMS platforms and reliability reporting tools.
Current C Class Driver's Licence.
