Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Senior Cook or Chef to join our café located within Pacific Fair Shopping Centre on the Gold Coast. This is a hands-on cooking role suited to a skilled Senior Cook or Chef who enjoys leading service in a busy environment, maintaining food safety standards and building a strong kitchen culture.
This role is full-time, however, could be part-time (min 30 hours) if flexibility was required.
You will work within established menus, systems and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead kitchen, ensuring speed, consistency and presentation standards
- Prepare, marinate and cook from raw using grill, oven and fryer
- Prepare and portion house-made sauces, dips etc
- Maintain food safety, hygiene and HACCP compliance
- Conduct quality control checks during service
- Train and support kitchen team members
- Assist with stocktakes, portion control and wastage reduction
- Assist with kitchen rostering and planning for peak periods
- Report maintenance and safety issues
- Participate in weekly team meetings
- Liaise with Head Office on food standards, training manuals and food safety checklists
About You
- Proven experience as a Cook or Senior Cook in a high-volume café or kitchen
- Willing to follow Standard Recipe Cards
- Strong hands-on experience cooking fresh ingredients
- Sound knowledge of food safety and kitchen compliance
- Confident leading service and supporting kitchen team
- Reliable, calm under pressure and detail-focused
- Strong communication skills and a positive team attitude
