This is a Level 3 position. However, if there are no appropriate Level 3 applicants, applications from Level 1 and 2 will be considered. The selection criteria reflects the requirements for a Level 3 applicant. Responses from Level 1 or 2 applicants need to demonstrate their level of competence with regard to the same criteria and their ability to work towards Level 3. The expected performance of the incumbent will be commensurate with his/her years of experience and current level at commencement of appointment. Where you'll be working
Tamworth Hospital is seeking a Level 3 Occupational Therapist to join our welcoming and supportive team on a 12-month temporary maternity leave locum. Provide a high-quality clinical service to patients and their families/carers, to ensure the provision of optimal health outcomes for patients of the service.

Our team is committed to working together to provide a seamless, high-quality service to Tamworth’s acute health services. Located in the picturesque regional city of Tamworth, this role offers the opportunity to develop and utilise your specialist clinical skills while enjoying the lifestyle and community of one of regional NSW’s vibrant centres. The therapist is also required to participate in a periodic weekend roster, approximately every six weeks, providing independent clinical coverage across the entire hospital. Additional responsibilities include the supervision and support of students and peers, contributing to the development of clinical practice and supporting the capability of the wider team. As an active member of the multidisciplinary team, the clinician is expected to participate in weekly team meetings and contribute to ongoing professional development. This includes preparing and presenting journal reviews, case presentations, and education sessions to peers, supporting knowledge sharing and evidence-based practice within the service.
