Due to continued demand in Canberra, we’re looking for another fantastic entertainer to join the Yabadoo team.

We pay well, we’re flexible and we make the job as easy as possible for our entertainers. We provide your costumes, equipment, props and training — no running around collecting gear before every party. You keep your kit with you, turn up and concentrate on being brilliant with the kids!
The role
You’ll dress as one of our characters and entertain children at birthday parties and events with a mix of comedy magic, games, balloon twisting and face painting.
Most of our work is on weekends, particularly during the day, with occasional weekday and corporate work available too.
Pay
$100 for the first hour of a booking, then $65 per hour after that + super.
We provide your training, costumes and full entertainment kit.
Who are we looking for?
Someone warm, confident, reliable and genuinely great with kids. You need to be happy being silly, think on your feet and enjoy performing in front of a room full of excited children.
Previous experience in kids entertainment, acting, performing, teaching, childcare or similar is fantastic — but it isn’t essential. If you've got the right personality and potential, we can teach you the Yabadoo magic.
You’ll need to:
Have a full driver’s licence and reliable car
Have reasonable weekend availability
Have, or be willing to obtain, a Working With Vulnerable People registration
Be reliable — if you say you’ll be at a party, we need to know you’ll be there!
