Vitium Cura is seeking an experienced and reliable Disability Support Worker to provide 1:1 support to a young participant with Autism and developmental support needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide safe, person-centred 1:1 support
- Support daily living, self-care and independence
- Assist with emotional regulation and transitions
- Follow Positive Behaviour Support strategies
- Recognise triggers and use appropriate de-escalation techniques
- Support community access and social participation
- Maintain participant safety and close supervision
- Complete accurate progress notes and incident documentation
About You
- Experience supporting children with Autism, preferably Autism Level 3/high support needs
- Experience with behaviours of concern and Positive Behaviour Support
- Calm, patient and confident approach
- Strong communication and safeguarding awareness
- Experience with personal care and community access
Essential Requirements
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Victorian Working with Children Check
- First Aid & CPR
- National Police Check
- Australian Driver Licence and reliable vehicle
- Valid Australian working rights
- Relevant qualification preferred
