Tablelands Allied Health is a multidisciplinary team delivering high-quality acute, sub-acute, outpatient, community and outreach services across Atherton, Mareeba, Herberton and Mossman. Our team includes Dietitians, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Social Workers, Speech Pathologists, Allied Health Assistants and Administration Support staff, providing care to adult and paediatric patients across the region, including rural and remote communities.

About your role:
Deliver high level rural generalist speech pathology clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment and management for paediatric and adult clients, working within various multidisciplinary teams in a hospital and outpatient setting, with infrequent need for direct clinical practice supervision.
Identify, develop and implement quality improvement activities or research activities and apply clinical evidence to actively contribute to enhancing speech pathology services within Tablelands and Mossman allied health service and the CHHHS.
Provide high level clinical advice regarding speech pathology intervention to peers, managers and other stakeholders regarding professional standards and issues, equipment and technology, prioritisation and development of clinical services, in relation to patient care.
Work cooperatively and effectively in a professional manner with team members, external agencies, clients, families/carers to achieve a client centred approach.
Contribute to planning and development of Tablelands and Mossman Allied Health service and CHHHS Speech Pathology services clinical practices and procedures using the principles of evidence-based practice.
