The Opportunity
We’re currently seeking an experienced Hook & Skip Truck Driver to join our Waste Operations team in Port Hedland. This is a residential, full-time position, ideal for a skilled, reliable and safety conscious operator who takes pride in safety, teamwork, and getting the job done right.
- This is not a FIFO role
- Applicants must reside in or be willing to relocate to Port Hedland
- Accommodation (rental) subsidy provided

About You
We’re looking for someone who is experienced, dependable, and safety-focused — and ready to contribute to a high-performing team. You'll bring:
- A valid and current HR licence (MC licence desirable)
- White Card (construction induction)
- Previous hook/skip truck experience (ticket or prior VOC advantageous)
- A clean driving record
- Experience working in mining or high-compliance environments
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol screening
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely and competently
- Full working rights in Australia.
- Strong safety awareness and a proactive mindset
- Reliable, self-motivated, and committed to getting the job done
Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently operate skip bin and hook lift trucks
- Deliver and collect bins at mine sites and designated locations
- Perform daily pre-start and end-of-day vehicle checks
- Adhere to traffic management plans and road rules
- Keep vehicles and work areas clean and tidy
- Accurately complete job sheets and reports
- Interact professionally with clients and site personnel
- Report any defects, safety concerns, or issues immediately
- Comply with all safety procedures, traffic laws, and company policies
