P&C Operations Lead

We’re seeking an experienced P&C Operations Lead to take ownership of day-to-day people operations while driving continuous improvement across systems, processes and employee experience.
As our People & Culture function continues to mature, we’re introducing this new role to support a high-performing, fit-for-purpose people environment at QTC.
This is a key leadership role within our People & Culture team, balancing operational delivery with uplift initiatives that strengthen compliance, efficiency and service quality.
About the role
Reporting to the Director, People Partnering & Operations, you’ll lead a small team and partner closely with stakeholders across the business to ensure our people operations run smoothly and support QTC’s goal of being a great place to work.
What you’ll be doing

Lead and mentor a small, high-performing People Operations team

Oversee day-to-day P&C operations across the organisation

Ensure accurate, timely and compliant payroll and remuneration processes

Drive continuous improvement across systems, processes and service delivery

Lead operational and HR technology projects through to delivery

Maintain and uplift policies, procedures and governance frameworks

Oversee employment contracts, compliance and people risk activities

Provide expert advice on Awards, Enterprise Agreements and employment obligations

Manage HRIS, reporting and workforce insights to support decision-making

Act as an escalation point for complex operational and system queries

Support audits and ensure strong compliance practices
About you
You’re a strong HR operations leader who enjoys improving how things work, using data to drive decisions, and building trusted relationships across the business.
You’ll bring:

Solid generalist HR experience across the employee lifecycle

Deep knowledge of employment legislation and HR best practice

Experience working with HRIS platforms and people data/reporting

A track record of driving continuous improvement and system uplift

Strong leadership capability and ability to build trust with your team

A practical, solutions-focused mindset
Experience & qualifications
-
Minimum 5+ years’ experience in HR Operations or Shared Services
-
Proven experience using data and reporting to generate insights (Executive/Board level exposure desirable)

Demonstrated success improving systems and processes to enhance employee experience

Degree in HR, Business or related field (or equivalent experience)
Desirable

Payroll experience or certification
-
Process improvement (e.g. Lean Six Sigma)

Experience in financial services

Exposure to HR system implementations or transformation projects
