About this role:
Our Boilermakers are responsible for the maintenance, repair, and rebuilding of heavy vehicles, earthmoving equipment, plant and other machinery used in civil construction. This role is based in our Cardup workshop.
What your day will look like:
- Performing heavy fabrication, structural repairs and modifications to a wide range of mobile earthmoving plant and equipment.
- Component / chassis rebuilds, body refurbishments, bucket / tray repairs and installing wear plates.
- Cutting and shaping steel using oxy, plasma, and air arc gouging equipment.
- Utilising various high-quality welding techniques such as FCAW (flux-cored arc welding), MIG/GMAW, Stick/SMAW and TIG/GTAW.
About you:
- Must hold a relevant Australian Recognised Trade Certificate.
- Ability to read and interpret detailed engineering drawings and specifications.
- A minimum of 3+ years experience in heavy equipment structural repairs.
