Disability Support Worker – Raceview QLD

Arch Disability Pty Ltd is a growing NDIS service provider dedicated to delivering high-quality, person-centred support to individuals living with disability. We are currently seeking experienced and compassionate Disability Support Workers to provide support to a participant located in Raceview, QLD.
About the Role
This position involves providing 1:1 or 2:1 in-home support to a participant who requires a high level of personal care and physical assistance, including hoisting and manual handling. Support workers will play an important role in ensuring the participant’s safety, dignity, and overall wellbeing.
Key responsibilities include:
- Personal care and hygiene assistance
- Hoisting and manual handling
- Meal preparation and assistance with daily living activities
- Light household duties
- Supporting community access and day program attendance
- Attending medical and allied health appointments
- Monitoring wellbeing and reporting any concerns to the care team
Due to the complexity of the participant’s needs, two support workers may be required during some shifts to ensure safe and effective care.
Shifts Available
- 8 to 12-hour shifts available
- Preferred shift times:
- 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM
- 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
- Additional shifts may also be available depending on participant needs
Pay Rate
This role is paid in accordance with the SCHADS Award (Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award).
- Pay range: approximately $35 – $82 per hour depending on experience, shift type, and applicable penalty rates.
- Successful applicants will be engaged under SCHADS Award Level 4 – Pay Point 1 or Pay Point 2, depending on skills and experience.
- All penalty rates, overtime, and allowances apply in accordance with the SCHADS Award.
Key Requirements
Applicants must have:
- Certificate III or IV in Individual Support, Disability, Aged Care, or similar
- Minimum 6 months experience supporting individuals with disability
- Hoist and manual handling experience (essential)
- NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)
- Blue Card (Working with Children Check)
- Current First Aid and CPR certification
- Driver’s licence and reliable vehicle
- Completion of NDIS Worker Orientation Module and Infection Control Training
- Ability to provide 2–3 professional references
Preferred Attributes
- Female support workers are preferred for this role due to the participant’s personal care needs.
- Experience supporting participants with high physical support needs.
- Reliable, compassionate, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
Important Information
- This role is not open to independent contractors.
- Workers will be employed under SCHADS Award conditions.
