About the team
The Strategy, Projects & Support team in Taxes & Grants are tasked with supporting the Executive Director’s office and business units across the division to deliver a range of strategic functions that enhance engagement, improve business operations, build capability and support effective executive communications. The team is responsible for leading a structured and collaborative approach to keep the Executive Director’s office well-informed and equipped to drive key objectives efficiently.
Your day-to-day
In this role, you will support the Taxes & Grants Strategy, Projects & Support team to coordinate and deliver key initiatives, reporting routines, advice and communications that help the division meet its priorities. You will work with a broad range of stakeholders to gather and analyse information, identify insights and trends, prepare clear reporting and advice, and contribute to practical improvements that strengthen planning, delivery and decision-making across Taxes & Grants.
To be successful in this role you will have the following:

Extensive and current Taxes & Grants product knowledge, with demonstrated experience working across all Taxes & Grants business units.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data, identify trends and translate complex information into clear advice and practical recommendations.

Experience supporting projects, initiatives, reporting routines or business improvement activities in a complex service delivery environment.

Well-developed communication skills, including the ability to prepare clear reports, briefings, updates and content for a range of audiences.

A collaborative and customer-focused approach, with the confidence to build effective working relationships and manage information flows across teams and stakeholders.

Sound judgement, initiative and accountability when managing competing priorities, sensitive information and emerging issues within agreed timeframes.

Confidence using systems, databases and technology to extract information, maintain data integrity and support transparent reporting and evidence-based decision-making.
What will your day involve?

Support the coordination and delivery of divisional initiatives, projects and activities that contribute to Taxes & Grants priorities and outcomes.

Maintain and monitor reporting routines, data analysis and information sources to provide insights, track progress and highlight issues, risks and opportunities.

Extract, research, analyse and interpret information from systems and databases to support reports, briefings, recommendations and decision-making.

Translate data and complex information into clear, engaging and audience-appropriate communications, updates and reporting material.

Work collaboratively with team members, internal stakeholders and other business areas to seek input, resolve issues and support consistent delivery of agreed outcomes.

Review processes, capture learnings and identify opportunities to improve reporting, planning, communication and business support activities.
We are looking for a motivated, enthusiastic, and flexible team player who will bring their extensive Taxes & Grants experience to lead and support initiatives that promote and communicate the value of Taxes & Grants across Revenue NSW and DCS.
