Position Title: Mandalong Poultry Farm Worker
Reporting To: Mandalong Poultry Farm Leading Hand (Growing)
Position Overview:
To closely support the Mandalong Livestock Team on a day to day basis; to assist in achieving full compliance within the following areas;
- Work Health and Safety
- Animal welfare
- Biosecurity
- NSW Food Authority
Game Farm’s livestock manual / processes

Technical Skills:
- A sound knowledge of (Work Health and Safety) practices
- A sound knowledge of animal welfare and biosecurity practice
- A sound knowledge of poultry production from breeders through to Hatchery operation
- Strong analytical, problem solving, trouble shooting and process improvement skills
Able to work as a team or individual to complete all tasks duties in a safe and timely manner, with a high attention to detail and quality

Primary Role Objectives:
1. To complete General farm hand duties including;
- Setting up of sheds to take day old chicks
- Unloading day old chicks
- Undertaking mortality run / removal
- Changing the temperature/ humidity/ air quality/ventilation parameters as per required or directed
- General paper work (daily check sheets)
- Driving and operating farm equipment
- Cleaning, washing and disinfecting sheds and equipment
2. To help maintain the grounds and farm surrounds
3. To work within a roster covering afterhours duties (when required), including weekends and public holidays
4. To complete any other duties as requested by the Farm Manager or Leading Hand
