Work that matters, done with people who care.
As a Senior Urban Forest Officer, you lead a team of tree management officers managing inspections, approvals and tree programs across the city. You allocate work, track KPIs and guide decisions on tree removals, planting and risk management. Your day may include reviewing inspection reports and resolving complex customer requests.
You provide clear, practical advice to councillors, stakeholders and the community. This includes preparing responses on sensitive tree matters, contributing to policies and supporting delivery of programs such as tree planting and replacement. You work closely with the coordinator urban forest, balancing competing priorities while meeting service standards and timeframes.
You take pride in work that is visible every day, while continuing to build your leadership capability, mentoring your team and strengthening your expertise in urban forest management. If you want to lead practical work that shapes a growing city, we would love to hear from you.
