Your new role:
As a Senior Psychologist / Case Manager, you will provide high-quality, evidence-based psychology services to adults experiencing severe and complex mental health problems within the Princess Alexandra Hospital Community Care Team South. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will use your advanced clinical knowledge and judgement to support positive consumer outcomes while contributing to clinical leadership, education and service improvement.
Deliver comprehensive assessment, intervention, case management and evaluation for consumers with complex mental health needs.
Provide clinical leadership, advice, supervision and support to less experienced clinicians, students and support staff.
Work collaboratively with consumers, carers, multidisciplinary colleagues and community services to support person-centred care, effective handover and discharge planning.
Lead and contribute to quality improvement, research, clinical education and the development of evidence-based practices.
About you:
We are looking for an experienced and passionate psychology professional who can confidently manage complex clinical presentations and contribute to the ongoing development of psychology and multidisciplinary services.
Demonstrated high-level clinical knowledge and expertise in delivering psychology services within a complex community mental health environment.
Strong communication, collaboration and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide clinical advice and manage complex professional situations.
Proven ability to prioritise and manage a complex workload, including clinical assessment, intervention, case management and discharge planning.
Demonstrated leadership capability, including providing supervision, education and support to developing clinicians and students.
Experience initiating, implementing and evaluating quality improvement, research or service development initiatives is highly valued.
