Program Manager (Part‑Time) – Provisionally Registered Early Childhood Teacher Mentoring Program

About the opportunity
We are seeking expressions of interest from experienced program leaders to support the delivery of a proposed Provisionally Registered Early Childhood Teacher Mentoring Program in South Australia. The program is designed to support provisionally registered Early Childhood Teachers (ECTs) to progress to full registration through high‑quality mentoring, professional learning, and Communities of Practice.
This is an expression of interest only. Appointment to the role is contingent on successful contract award and final agreement on scope and resourcing.
The role
The Program Manager will provide overall leadership and coordination of the mentoring program, ensuring high‑quality delivery, effective governance, and strong engagement with stakeholders.
The role is expected to:

Lead program mobilisation, planning, and delivery oversight

Act as the primary point of contact with the Office for Early Childhood Development

Establish and manage governance, reporting, and contract management processes

Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and coordination of facilitators, mentors, and portfolio advisors

Monitor risks, quality, timelines, and performance against agreed milestones

Support evaluation, reporting, and continuous improvement across the program
Indicative commitment
Part‑time, approximately 0.4–0.6 FTE (indicative)

Fixed‑term or consultancy arrangement (to be confirmed following contract award)
About you
You will bring:

Demonstrated experience managing complex education or workforce development programs

Strong understanding of the Early Childhood Education and Care (ECEC) sector

Experience working with government clients and managing reporting and governance requirements

Excellent stakeholder engagement, coordination, and leadership skills
-
Experience overseeing professional learning, mentoring, or capability‑building initiatives (desirable)
