About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people and wants to make a genuine difference within the transport industry.
As a Truck Trainer & Assessor, you will work with students from all backgrounds, helping them gain the knowledge, practical skills and confidence required to become safe and competent heavy vehicle drivers.
You will provide both classroom-based instruction and practical on-road training while conducting assessments in accordance with South Australian CBT&A requirements.

You will be delivering training and assessments for:
Medium Rigid (MR)
Heavy Rigid (HR)
Heavy Combination (HC)
Multi Combination (MC)

Your Responsibilities
Your day-to-day duties will include:
Deliver Competency Based Training & Assessment (CBT&A)
Conduct practical on-road driving lessons
Deliver classroom and theory training
Assess students against national competency standards
Prepare learners for licence assessments
Coach drivers using safe and professional driving techniques
Provide constructive feedback to improve driving performance
Train students in vehicle control, reversing, coupling and uncoupling, load security, road law compliance and defensive driving
Complete assessment documentation accurately
Maintain student training records
Ensure compliance with RTO and government requirements
Perform vehicle pre-start inspections
Demonstrate safe driving practices at all times
Represent JSAUS Group professionally
Support continuous improvement of our training programs
Assist with customer enquiries when required
Build positive relationships with students and industry partners
