About the Role
We are currently seeking an experienced and safety-focused Forklift Operator to join our manufacturing team. This role is responsible for loading, unloading and moving steel plate throughout the workshop, including supporting our Bevelling Station operations. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring materials are handled safely and production requirements are met efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate forklifts to load, unload and transport steel plate and materials.
- Load and unload plates at the Bevelling Station and other work areas.
- Conduct daily pre-start inspections and report any equipment faults.
- Handle materials carefully to minimise damage and maintain product quality.
- Ensure stock and materials are stored safely and clearly identified.
- Complete production paperwork and documentation accurately.
- Support production teams to maintain workflow and meet operational requirements.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area.
Adhere to all safety, quality and environmental standards.

Skills and Experience
- Current High Risk Forklift Licence (LF) – essential.
- Previous forklift operating experience in a manufacturing, steel or industrial environment.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety.
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
- Good communication and organisational skills.
Ability to undertake manual handling tasks and work in a physically demanding environment.
