ABOUT US
Boston Shaker Bar was founded by a Livi Robins, a passionate woman from the Sunshine Coast who envisioned a venue where customers would feel truly valued. Her goal was to create a unique society and culture that the Sunshine Coast had been lacking. Since establishing the business in 2018, it has grown from a simple stand-up bar service into a refined award-winning culinary cocktail bar known for delivering exceptional drinks, top-quality service and fostering connections and memories for everyone who visits.

OPERATIONS
Open 7 Nights a week from 4pm, Located at THE WHARF MOOLOOLABA, a nightlife precinct of restaurants and adventure tourism businesses frequented by locals and travellers to the Sunshine Coast.
ABOUT YOU
A good bartender possesses a combination of technical skills, interpersonal abilities, and a strong work ethic. Key qualities include:
1. Technical Proficiency: Mastery in mixing drinks, understanding flavor profiles, and creating a variety of cocktails.
2. Customer Service: The ability to connect with customers, making them feel welcome and valued. A good bartender listens, remembers preferences, and engages in friendly conversation.
3. Warm and Approachable Presence: Maintaining a positive attitude, being approachable, and creating an inviting atmosphere.
4. Attention to Detail: Ensuring every drink is crafted to perfection and maintaining cleanliness and organization behind the bar.
5. Efficiency and Multitasking: Handling multiple orders and tasks simultaneously while maintaining quality and service standards.
6. Product Knowledge: Being knowledgeable about different types of beverages, including spirits, wines, beers, and mixers, and being able to make recommendations.
7. Problem-Solving Skills: Handling any issues or conflicts that arise with customers calmly and professionally.
8. Reliability and Work Ethic: Showing up on time, being dependable, and demonstrating a strong commitment to the job.
9. Creativity: Bringing creativity to the team.
10. Teamwork: Working well with other staff members to ensure a smooth and efficient service environment.
CHECKLIST
- Minimum of 2 years bar experience in a focused “cocktail” bar.
- Mastery and Passion for Mixology
- Customer Connection and Service Excellence
- Polished and well-groomed presentation, professional manner, high standards of hygiene and dress code.
- Team player, flexible to work bar and floor.

We provide extensive in-house training and have a systematic approach to business operations for ease of workflow. While we are happy to train and support where there are gaps ( and everyone has their strengths and weaknesses) , this position requires someone with a solid background in professional cocktail bars and an understanding of cocktail creation through the foundation of knowing the classics.
