We are seeking a full-time Accountant to join our team in Alice Springs. About the Role
· Oversee daily general ledger maintenance, reconciliations, and continuous cash-basis record keeping.
· Manage revenue collection, and oversee accounts receivable.
· Compile comprehensive financial statements and creditor analysis reports for executive review.
· Manage the timeous preparation and lodgment of statutory corporate tax returns and BAS.
· Partner with the Finance Manager and departmental heads to lead collaborative financial planning, monthly variance reporting, and predictive budgeting.
· Maintain positive working relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders, including the National Disability Insurance Agency.
· Ensure compliance with national financial standards and organisational legislative requirements.
· Manage payroll processing, ensuring accurate calculation of wages, tax withholdings, and superannuation in accordance with legislative requirements and applicable awards.
About You
· Must hold a formal Degree in Accounting.
· 2–3 years of experience in organisational financial management, ideally within the disability support, community services, or not-for-profit sector.
· Recent experience using Xero or similar accounting systems.
· Practical knowledge of interpreting and applying the SCHADS Award.
· A proactive, energetic, and self-motivated approach with a keen eye for detail.
· Ability to work collaboratively, communicate effectively across teams, and show empathy for people living with a disability.
· Must hold or be willing to undergo an NDIS Worker’s Screening Check, National Police Check, and Working with Children Check.

Pay: $81,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year
