About us:
Babinda is a small, welcoming rural township located about 60 km south of Cairns in Far North Queensland. Nestled between the rainforest-covered mountains and the Great Barrier Reef coastline, it offers a relaxed lifestyle surrounded by natural beauty. Babinda is rich in lush greenery, waterfalls, and scenic walking tracks, including the popular Babinda Boulders. The area is ideal for those who enjoy outdoor living, with opportunities for swimming, hiking, and exploring tropical landscapes.
The community is close-knit and friendly, offering a strong sense of belonging and connection. Essential services such as schools, shops, and healthcare facilities are available locally, while larger centres like Innisfail and Cairns are within easy driving distance for additional amenities.
For professionals in healthcare, Babinda provides the chance to build meaningful relationships with patients and the community while enjoying a slower-paced, affordable, and family-friendly lifestyle.
