The opportunity
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team. Reporting to the Head Chef, the Sous Chef will bring strong technical expertise, leadership, and creativity to support the preparation and delivery of exceptional service within our fast-paced kitchen and:
- Oversee daily food preparation, production and implementation of menus
- Lead by example, promoting respectful behaviours, open communication and accountability across the kitchen team.
- Maintain the highest standards of quality, freshness and presentation, ensuring all food preparation complies with regulatory requirements
- Work collaboratively to coordinate daily food requirements, considering delivery schedules, shelf life and storage capabilities
- Perform administrative tasks, including stock control, equipment checks and purchase orders
- Train, mentor and support chefs and kitchen hands
- Foster a respectful, inclusive and psychologically safe kitchen culture where every team member is treated with professionalism, and learning and continuous improvement are encouraged.
Communicate effectively and positively with FOH staff to ensure seamless service.

We will provide flexibility with days and hours across a rotational roster. Night, weekend and public holiday availability a must.

About You
- You have a culinary qualification
- You have a minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role
- You have knowledge of food professional principles and practises
- You are guest centric, a team player and have a positive attitude
- You are capable, reliable and responsible
- You have a valid visa or working rights for Australia
