Ados Travel Co is a 100% Australian-owned travel agency helping Aussies plan extraordinary trips. from family getaways and honeymoons to group travel and corporate bookings. We handle every detail so our clients just show up and enjoy.
We're hiring an Event Activation & Sales Lead who wants to be out in the field every single day, talking to people, generating leads, and closing travel bookings. This is a full-time daily sales role not a weekend gig. The right person can realistically earn $80,000–$100,000+ annually by putting in the daily work and building a strong pipeline. If you thrive on human connection, love travel, and want a role that genuinely rewards your hustle, keep reading.
IS THIS YOU?
You're the person who walks into a room and immediately starts chatting to strangers. You find sales energising, not draining. You're organised enough to run your own schedule, but you'd rather be out making things happen than sitting at a desk. You take rejection in stride, keep showing up, and you genuinely love travel — you'd talk about it for free.
You don't need someone to manage your day. You need someone to point you in the right direction and get out of your way.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
This is a full-time, daily activation role. Your week looks something like this:
Monday — Admin, follow-up calls, booking paperwork, confirming the week's venues, updating leads in the CRM.
Tuesday through Friday — Daily activations. Every weekday has a purpose:
Aged Care & Retirement Village Presentations: Book in with activities coordinators, run a 30-minute travel talk and wheel-spin session on a Tuesday or Wednesday morning. These audiences love cruises, escorted tours, and group travel — and they have the time and budget to book.
RSL & Bowls Club Presentations: Weekday afternoons are perfect. Loyal, social, and highly referral-driven. One good presentation can generate multiple bookings.
Gym & Fitness Studio Pop-Ups: Before or after work hours, any day. Families, couples, and young professionals planning active holidays, ski trips, or adventure travel.
Shopping Centre Casual Pop-Ups: Weekday foot traffic is steady and unhurried. Set up, start conversations, collect leads, book appointments.
Corporate Workplace Lunch-and-Learns: Tuesdays through Thursdays are ideal. Present to a team of 20–50 employees on group travel, corporate retreats, and staff reward trips. One corporate client can generate multiple bookings per year.
FIFO Worker & Mining Company Events: High-income earners with limited time to plan and a strong appetite for travel. Partner with mining companies and corporate offices for onsite presentations.
Real Estate Settlement Celebration Visits: Partner with mortgage brokers and conveyancers to offer a travel gift consultation to clients who've just settled. Warm leads, high intent, great timing.
Cultural Community Group Meetings: Weekday evenings. Many have strong group travel traditions and respond well to a personalised pitch.
Hospital & Healthcare Staff Activations: Nurses, doctors, allied health workers — time-poor, well-paid, and desperate for proper holidays. A lunchtime pop-up in a hospital staff room hits a highly qualified audience.
School P&C Community Events: Parents in planning mode for school holidays, family reunions, and end-of-year trips.
University & TAFE Student Union Activations: Backpacking, gap years, international adventures — a forward-pipeline audience that travels in groups.
Saturday & Sunday — Major public events. Markets, expos, lifestyle festivals, community fairs. Your highest-volume days for lead capture and on-the-spot bookings.
Some weeks you'll run seven activations. This is a role for someone who genuinely wants to be out there every day — not someone looking for a few weekend shifts.
You'll also handle lead follow-up, booking confirmations, and coordination with the Ados back office to ensure every lead you generate gets the attention it deserves.

WHAT YOU CAN EARN
These scenarios are based on a full-time daily activation schedule — not a couple of weekend markets. The math is honest. The ceiling is yours to set.
SCENARIO 1 — Building Momentum (First Month) Still finding your rhythm, learning the pitch, establishing venue relationships. 3 weekend events + 8 weekday activations | 6 bookings at avg $4,000 = $24,000 booking value (Tier 2 reached) Base pay: ~120 hours × $30/hr = $3,600 Commission: ~$720–$960 Estimated monthly total: $4,500–$5,000 | Annualised: ~$54,000–$60,000
You're not at full speed yet — but the pipeline you build in month one pays off in months two and three.
SCENARIO 2 — Hitting Stride (3–4 Months In) Venue relationships established, pitch dialled in, referrals starting to flow. 4 weekend events + 16 weekday activations | 12 bookings at avg $4,500 = $54,000 booking value (Tier 3 reached) Base pay: ~160 hours × $30/hr = $4,800 Commission: ~$2,000–$2,200 Estimated monthly total: $6,800–$7,000 | Annualised: ~$82,000–$84,000
SCENARIO 3 — Top Performer (6+ Months, Strong Pipeline) Full venue rotation, growing referral base, consistent close rate. 4 weekend events + 20 weekday activations | 18 bookings at avg $5,000 = $90,000 booking value (Tier 3 comfortably) Base pay: ~160 hours × $30/hr = $4,800 Commission: ~$3,500–$4,000 Estimated monthly total: $8,300–$8,800 | Annualised: ~$100,000–$106,000
Most travel sales roles cap you out at a flat wage. This one doesn't. Your income grows as your skills and venue network grow.
