This is a rewarding opportunity to support children’s learning, development and wellbeing at St Hellier Street Children's Centre, Heidelberg West. As a Certificate III Early Childhood Educator, you’ll provide safe, high-quality education and care for children from birth to 6 years, with a key focus on supporting the kinder room. You’ll help increase educator support, assist children with additional care needs to participate fully in the program, and extend children’s learning through positive, engaging experiences. Working within a collaborative and child-focused team, you’ll contribute to a safe, inclusive environment aligned with the Early Childhood Services Philosophy and Child Safe Standards.
What you'll bring/what we are looking for
- Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care, or an equivalent qualification
- Sound knowledge of the National Quality Framework, Education and Care Services National Law and Regulations, and the Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework
- Ability to maintain clear written records and contribute to documentation relating to children’s learning and development
- Strong organisational skills, including the ability to manage time effectively and prioritise tasks
- Understanding of mandatory reporting requirements and awareness of the diverse cultural needs of families
Pre-employment requirements
- CPR / First Aid
- Level 2 First Aid, Anaphylaxis and Asthma Certificates
- Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check (NCCHC)
- Current Working with Children’s Check
We offer:
- A temporary (until 23 May 2027), part-time role working 22 hours per week - Monday 9:30 to 4pm, Wednesday & Friday 8 am to 5pm.
- Salary from $42,088.40 to $44,092.23 per annum dependent on experience (for comparison at full time, this would be $72,698.14 to $76,159.30 per annum plus super).
