AU Ceiling Pty Ltd is a construction company based in Runcorn, QLD, specialising in plastering and rendering services. From new builds to commercial fitouts, our team delivers exceptional wall and ceiling finishes across a diverse range of projects. We pride ourselves on quality craftsmanship, attention to detail, and a professional team culture. As our project pipeline continues to grow, we are seeking three experienced tradespeople to join us on a full-time basis.
Positions Available
We are currently recruiting for the following full-time roles:
- Carpenter
- Plasterer (Wall & Ceiling)
- Renderer
Key Responsibilities
Carpenter
- Install wall framing, ceiling frameworks, and partition systems across residential and commercial projects
- Fix and finish plasterboard (Gyprock) systems, including stopping, setting, and taping
- Install suspended ceiling frameworks, including concealed grid, exposed grid, and bulkhead systems
- Fit doors, frames, skirting boards, architraves, and associated joinery
- Read and interpret architectural plans, construction drawings, and specifications
- Coordinate with plasterers and other tradespeople on active sites to ensure seamless project delivery
Plasterer (Wall & Ceiling)
- Apply base coat, finish coat, and texture to internal walls and ceilings on residential and commercial projects
- Install and set plasterboard (Gyprock) and suspended ceiling systems to a high standard of finish
- Prepare surfaces including patching, sanding, and priming prior to application
- Install cornices, shadow lines, and decorative plaster features as required
- Tape and set plasterboard joints to specified tolerances and client finish standards
- Read and interpret building plans and project specifications
Renderer
- Apply cement, acrylic, and texture render systems to internal and external surfaces
- Prepare and treat substrates, including cleaning, priming, and applying bonding agents
- Install render systems including expanded metal lath, control joints, beading, and foam mouldings
- Mix render materials to correct ratios and consistency in accordance with manufacturer specifications
- Ensure all finishes meet client specifications, quality standards, and project requirements
- Maintain tools and equipment and adhere to safe handling of render materials on site
Requirements
The following requirements apply to all three positions:
- Relevant trade qualification (Certificate III or equivalent) preferred
- Minimum 1 year of experience, preferably in plastering, Gyprock, or ceiling fitout work
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering quality finishes
- Willingness to undertake ongoing training and comply with company procedures
- Full compliance with Work Health & Safety (WHS) requirements on site
Pay: $75,000.00 – $95,000.00 per year
