We have an exciting opportunity for a qualified Electrician to join our team based out of our Youngtown Depot, working across Tasmania.
$60.22 - $66.57 per hour + applicable allowances
Please note that rates are current as at August 2026 and subject to future increases in accordance with the Zinfra Services (Zinfra Contracting Pty Ltd) Tasmania Electrical Works Enterprise Agreement 2025. Remuneration will be determined based on qualifications, experience and classification. For information on allowances, overtime and employee entitlements, please refer to the Enterprise Agreement.
About the Role
In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for performing maintenance and construction works across Tasmania's High Voltage and Extra High Voltage distribution and transmission network.

Install conduit systems, cable trays, below-ground earth grid

Perform low-voltage (secondary) cable installation, termination, testing, and assist subcontractor testing and commissioning works

Installation of primary plant (110kV and 220kV disconnectors, current transformers, voltage transformers, circuit breakers and installation and assembly of High Voltage switchgear

Undertake primary plant earthing, primary conductor stringing and fitting compression

General steel structure erection
About You
Are you a qualified electrical tradesperson with hands-on experience working in construction and high-risk environments. Do you take pride in delivering safe, quality workmanship and working effectively as part of a team.
- Current Tasmanian Electrical Practitioner's Licence and current Australian Driver's Licence (MR/HR Licence highly desirable)

Demonstrated ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, plans, specifications, and standards, while adhering to site procedures and safety requirements

Willingness to travel and work remotely across Tasmania

High Risk Work Licence (EWP highly desirable)
