We’re looking for an experienced Management Accountant to join our Finance team and play a key role in delivering accurate financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and financial control across the business.
Working closely with the Financial Controller and CFO, you’ll take ownership of core accounting processes, help improve the quality and efficiency of our financial reporting, and provide meaningful insights that support better business decisions.
Preparing the NetSuite month-end close and draft monthly and quarterly reporting packs.
Preparing variance analysis against budget and prior periods, including clear commentary on key movements.
Supporting the annual budgeting process, monthly rolling P&L forecasts and weekly cash flow forecasting.
Developing a strong understanding of VERIDAPT’s key commercial drivers to improve the quality of budgeting and forecasting. - Completing bank and general ledger reconciliations and ensuring accounts are fully substantiated.
Reviewing standard bills and invoices processed by others, correcting issues and coaching where required.
Personally managing more complex or non-standard invoices, payments and payroll transactions.
Maintaining accurate, complete and audit-ready financial records.
Maintaining the NetSuite general ledger and supporting modules including payments, banking, fixed assets and inventory.
Preparing BAS, payroll tax and supporting FBT requirements.
Supporting the annual external audit and preparation of quarterly Board reporting.
Identifying opportunities to improve finance processes, controls and reporting.
A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
5+ years’ experience in accounting or finance roles.
Strong technical accounting knowledge across month-end close, reconciliations and compliance.
Experience preparing budgets, forecasts and financial models.
Strong knowledge of BAS, payroll tax and FBT requirements.
Advanced Excel skills and strong experience using an ERP/accounting system — NetSuite experience would be highly regarded.
The ability to turn financial data into clear, commercially relevant insights for non-finance stakeholders.
Excellent attention to detail and a strong focus on accuracy.
Confidence reviewing the work of others and identifying errors before they reach the ledger.
Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing reporting and compliance deadlines.
A collaborative approach and confidence working closely with senior finance leaders and stakeholders across the business.
Sound judgement and discretion when dealing with sensitive financial information.
Highly desirable:
CPA, CMA or similar professional qualification, or currently working towards one.
Experience within a similar-sized organisation.
Experience working within a recurring revenue / SaaS environment.
You’re commercially minded, analytical and naturally curious about what sits behind the numbers. You’re comfortable getting into the detail, but you can also step back and understand what the financials mean for the wider business.
You take ownership, meet deadlines and proactively raise issues rather than waiting for someone else to find them. You enjoy working collaboratively and are always looking for ways to make processes simpler, more accurate and more effective.
