Your opportunity:
This hands-on role is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in maintaining high-quality grounds and facilities, and values contributing to a safe, welcoming and well-presented school environment.
Working as part of our school operations team, you will have the opportunity to undertake a varied range of routine grounds duties while working both independently and collaboratively with colleagues.
Primary responsibilities:
Maintain school grounds, lawns, gardens and landscaped areas through mowing, watering, weeding, planting and general grounds care.
Prepare and maintain school ovals and outdoor sporting facilities to a high standard.
Undertake minor grounds maintenance, including repairs to fences, gates, paving and irrigation systems.
Operate, maintain and arrange servicing of grounds care equipment such as mowers, brush cutters and tractors.
Follow Workplace Health and Safety requirements, including the safe handling and storage of chemicals, fertilisers and fuel, while supporting ongoing grounds improvement projects.

The perfect fit:
The successful applicant will be practical, dependable and comfortable performing physically active outdoor work.
Previous experience in groundskeeping, gardening, landscaping, horticulture or general property maintenance will be highly regarded, along with experience operating grounds equipment and a strong commitment to safe work practices.
