- Diverse role: Aerial support, chemical mixing, and broadacre farm duties.
- Secure, stable 38+ hour week with a family-owned, growing operation.
- Great opportunity for a unique, multi-faceted role in regional NSW.
The Role
We are currently recruiting a dedicated Ground Crew member to support a dynamic agricultural operation in Central West New South Wales. This is a unique, multi-faceted position that combines precision aerial application and broadacre mixed farming, requiring an operator who is comfortable pivoting between the demands of a high-paced aerial spraying business and the foundational requirements of a productive cropping enterprise.
You will undertake the critical loading and mixing of agricultural chemicals and products for aircraft, ensuring total compliance with safety protocols and meticulous attention to detail at every stage of the mixing process. When the flight schedule slows or the farm demands attention, your role transitions into essential farm work where you will be tasked with driving, maintaining, and operating a diverse range of farm machinery, including tractors and specialised equipment, while also contributing to irrigation and general property maintenance to ensure the operation runs at peak efficiency.
The Operation
This progressive, family-owned agricultural enterprise manages 3,500 acres of prime land that encompasses a mix of irrigation systems and dryland cropping. Having established their footprint over the last several years, the team is now in a phase of strategic growth and development, investing in infrastructure and seeking reliable, long-term team members who want to be part of a stable, hardworking culture. As an employer, they pride themselves on being hands-on and forward-thinking, managing both a traditional mixed-farming operation and a specialised aerial-spraying business that serves the broader agricultural community.
The Offer
Offering a stable and consistent employment arrangement, guaranteeing a minimum of 38 hours per week, with an attractive hourly rate. This position offers the chance to work in a varied role where no two days are the same, surrounded by a supportive, family-oriented team.
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for a highly reliable and organised individual who possesses a strong commitment to safety and is capable of maintaining a professional standard of work in both an aerial support capacity and out in the field.
- Proven experience in chemical handling and mixing operations with close attention to detail.
- Demonstrated competence in operating and maintaining modern farm machinery and equipment.
- Strong commitment to OHS compliance, record-keeping, and general site cleanliness.
- Ability to adapt quickly, working autonomously and efficiently across diverse tasks.
- A positive attitude and a willingness to contribute to all areas of the farming business.
