Female NDIS Support Worker – Mulgrave
Location: Mulgrave, VIC

About the Role
Assist Support Services is seeking an experienced female NDIS Support Worker to join a participant’s support team in Mulgrave.
The role involves providing high-quality support with personal care, showering and daily living activities, while promoting the participant’s independence, dignity and wellbeing.
Due to the participant’s and family’s preferences, this position is open to female applicants only.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting with showering and personal hygiene
- Assistance with dressing and other personal care needs
- Supporting daily living activities
- Providing companionship and meaningful engagement
- Supporting the participant to participate in activities as required
- Following support plans and individual preferences
- Communicating effectively with the participant, family and support team
- Maintaining accurate and professional shift notes
- Maintaining a calm and supportive approach when behaviours of concern arise
About You
We are looking for a reliable, experienced and compassionate female support worker who has excellent communication skills and is confident providing personal care.
The participant may display behaviours of concern from time to time, however these are not aggressive behaviours. Experience working with behaviours of concern is highly desirable.
You will need to be:
- Experienced in NDIS support work
- Confident providing personal care and showering assistance
- Calm, patient and compassionate
- An excellent communicator
- Comfortable communicating with both the participant and their family
- Reliable and consistent
- Able to work independently and as part of a support team
- Professional and respectful
- Able to follow support plans and maintain appropriate boundaries
Essential Requirements
Applicants must have:
- Female – participant/family preference
- Previous NDIS support work experience
- Experience with personal care and showering
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Current Police Check
- Working with Children Check
- Current First Aid & CPR
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Right to work in Australia
Shift Availability
Ongoing shifts are available:
- Monday: 2:00pm–7:00pm or later
- Thursday: 2:00pm–7:00pm or later
- Saturday: 2:00pm–7:00pm or later
- Every second Sunday: 2:00pm–7:00pm or later
