About the Role
An exciting opportunity exists within the Financial Services unit for an experienced, Cash Management and Banking Officer to join our team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of Council’s Banking Management Financial Module and responsible for Council's investment arrangements and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain the integrity of Council’s Bank Reconciliation Module
- Accountable for timely and accurate reconciliation of bank accounts and selected balance sheet accounts
- Responsible for Council's treasury management, investment arrangements and reporting, including cash flow preparation and analysis and making investment recommendations
- Support month end and financial year end processing
- Ability to handle numerous tasks simultaneously whilst meeting deadlines
- Liaise with staff members within & outside of Service Unit to perform tasks efficiently and effectively
Skills and Experience
- Demonstrated commitment to providing superior customer service
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to manage time, set priorities and achieve positive results
- Ability to produce work in a timely and accurate manner
- Highly developed computer skills
- Experience with the Technology One System
